Eight customers who came back
case study
Robin Jansky shoots high school senior portraits, Friday Night Lights, modeling teams, and college seniors. She was booked to capacity and her only marketing channel was social media, which required shooting more teams to feed it. The customers she had already photographed were sitting in a list nobody was doing anything with.

the situation
Social media was working, and that was the problem. It only worked when Robin was shooting modeling teams, because the modeling teams were what she posted. Growth meant more shooting, and she was already at capacity. Meanwhile, she had photographed hundreds of high school seniors, every one of whom becomes a college senior three to four years later. Nobody had gone back to any of them.
Both halves at once
the work
For getting found, I wrote the blog posts, built around what a parent or an athletic director actually types into Google. Media days. Private school senior portraits. The posts do the finding so inquiries arrive without Robin producing anything to attract them.
For getting them back, a campaign to the high school seniors she had already shot, timed to when they would be graduating from college. She already had the names. Nobody had ever used them.
the result
New customers found her. Old customers came back.
Every blog post has produced at least one inquiry. A private school parent found Robin through a Google search two days after the private school seniors post published, with no referral and no prior connection. And eight former high school senior portrait customers booked again as college seniors.
“I quickly realized you do not need to be doing the day to day. You need to be doing the scaling and driving efficiencies.”
